Demi in Elle UK

Quickie to give you info. I love it when I can find the UK magazines in Florida, they're such a treat! Elle for May featured Demi looking amazing but what really got me in this cover was her nail polish! I scurried the magazine and I found that it's actually one that I own!

Now I'm obsessed with painting them this color because look how awesome they look!

The color she's sporting is part of the mushroom nail trend that I am just adoring. Orly's Country Club Khaki. Perfect color, no?

You can buy it at your local Sally's Beauty Supply or perhaps online at the Orly site. It's part of the Prepster collection that came out last year :)

ELLE: Reporting Trend

There's something magical to me about this structured, forward style of dressing that just takes me back to the times I idolized Lois Lane and her ability to get her story. And her man. Who doesn't love a good reporter with a quick tongue, smart mouth and sexy hair? Yeah, exactly!

I was completely enamored with this ELLE spread that featured tones of neutrals, a bold dash of color, pants and more pants, and the fabulous flouncy golden brown hair.

You can always do 'casual' reporter by pairing your skinny jeans with nude pumps, a trench coat and a structured purse.

Elle: Lacey-Affair

I'm going to try to be better than update my blog daily... I've been neglecting it so I promise to try. So on with the show...

I think it's not big secret that I love all things girly and feminine. So you can imagine my drooling campaign when I saw this new Elle editorial. I've been behind on my magazine reading but I opened to this sweet surprise.

Lace, lace and MORE lace! Sweet things that look like they belong in a candy shop! The ballerina flats, the lacey bras, the silken pants <3 <3 <3

The trick, of course, is how to wear it in the everyday life :) That's when I come in. (forgive my choppy scan, I'm not exactly known for my technical skills)

How to use these? The trick is not going overboard with the lace, select an item of clothing or a couple of accessories. Dont dress from head to toe in lace because you'll look like me, circa 1994. It was not a good time.

All About You

I found this awesome editorial in last month's ELLE and I had been meaning to post it yet this weekend has been undoubtedly busy. (I may even confess to leaving the house looking not so very fashionable as I trekked my way to work to put in some Sunday hours) Nevertheless, I start the week fresh and happy to identify my real fashion palette. So ELLE devised some 'categories' of who exactly we are when dressing. Quite honestly, I'm a bit of a mix and I dare to say so are most people. We dont always fit in one particular pattern.

The Classicist

The Thrill-Seeker

The True Lady

The Minimalist

The Bohemian

The New Prep

The Wild Child

& The Romantic

I must say I'm a combination of many. So I made a poll to find out which top 3 you consider yourself. I'm a bit of a Romantic, New Prep & True Lady (with a bit of a Classicist thrown in)
