Fashion Icon: Reese Witherspoon

Oh Reese! I think all of us have some sort of a childhood memory of Reese. For some it may be 'Man on the Moon' for others something like 'Cruel Intentions' but despite which film role made us love her we all have to admit that the girl has style. For me it was 'Far and Away' a small Disney film that never made it far but I still remember watching her in it, little did I know that I would come to love the way she carried herself and the way she dressed.

The busy lady, mother of two with seventeen careers has won one word for me: polished. Reese does NOT hit the red carpet unless she looks absolutely stunning. Like Michelle Obama type of stunning. Though she prefers a more laid back look in her everyday life and if you catch her on her work out days you'd argue with me but for the most part you've got to tip your hat to her. She looks to be very involved with her kids and her career and she can still pull a pair of skinny jeans with flats and huge sunglasses and rock it.

I think the one thing I love the most about Reese is her signature cocktail dress. I mean she can rock the cocktail dress like I've never seen before. I put together some humble outfits to attempt to approximate to Reese. I hope she inspires you!

Imitating: Sarah Jessica Parker

With the weekend quickly approaching I'm sure you need something fab for some of your evening plans. I saw this picture as Sarah Jessica Parker this morning and as the majority of you have agreed that she's the Queen, let us imitate her a bit.

It's no secret that I've been raving about my love for the lace-trend happening currently. I'm utterly in love with it. I'm hunting for a perfect pair of black and cream lace shoes that dont kill my feet. The hunt continues.

In the meantime. Check out her absolutely chic and perfect look:

A simple lace dress with a boyfriend blazer on top, classic black pumps and purse with loads and loads of pearls and chains and soft waves in her hair. Perfection. Perfect for Spring nights that still cling to a bit of chilliness yet warm enough to show off your legs. This outfit should be super comfortable yet sexy and trendy.

How to do it? When I went to the mall last weekend there were tons of lace dresses everywhere. So you have your pick of the crop, same with boyfriend blazers. I got my boyfriend blazers at the thrift store, a quick stop at the cleaners and this 80's classic is ready for their closeup. Take your favorite pair of black dress shoes, a black purse and you're nearly done! I picked up a long, long, long string of pearls at a craft store for $19! They were so long that I was able to loop them three times over my neck and still have them hang around my breast area. I also saw some bargains at Forever21. Add some silver chains to it and got my look!

Hair and makeup, if you've got straight hair then either use a curling iron or rollers to get some soft waves. If you've got wavy or curly hair you'll have to blow-dry it straight and then twist sections of your hair into buns, keep it in buns while you apply makeup and that should give you defined soft waves. If you've got short hair a lovely up-do will also do, make sure to let go of some tendrils for that 'tossed' Serena Van der Woodsen effect.

Give blush a try to get that fresh Spring look and go light on the fragrance, something airy and fresh as opposed to the muskier smells of the winter.

Top 10 Faves: February!

Hi guys! I'm excited to be back! I had a lovely time off and I figured what better way to come back than to do a February top 10 fave outfits! I keep forgetting to do these polls, I hope I wont forget in the coming future :)

Here are the ladies which I loved <3

One of my absolute favorites; Michelle Trachtenberg. Always well poised in the red carpet, knows her body, her skin and her hair. This dress is no exception, gorgeous!

Carey Mulligan, quickly becoming one of my faves. This print dress is just stellar! Her pixie cut gets me every time, I love the blonde it suits her terrifically well!

Rose Byrne sporting a chic short red dress with black pumps. Oh so classic and simple but I love that she paired it up with a funky bracelet and soft caramel waves. A lovely update!

Gemma Arterton sporting another print dress fave with strappy print sandals. I would've thought it wouldn't have worked but she made it work! I also love her new hair cut!

Hayden, another fave of mine, looking so Jacki-O with a lovely thick coat and the contrasting peep toe shoes! The hair color is fabulous, I like her better as a brunette but what really gets me is the 60's elegance of this look. Love it!

For something a bit more casual, my girl Eliza Dushku wearing what most of us wear day to day. But of course she looks even more fabulous with it on! A simple tee, jeans and knee-high boots but what really gets me is the pop of red in her nails! That and her hair ALWAYS looks fantastic.

Queen of Fashion, Sarah Jessica Parker just killed me with this outfit here. The pink shoes, the hint of mustard-colored dress under that fabulous flared-out coat and the wink of a pink scarf is just perfection. I wouldn't have expected anything less from her.

Julia Stiles! I missed seeing her! How chic is this outside-look? The green coat, the gray thighs, the slick classic black pumps? I just love it!

Amanda Seyfried, another of my faves, she's so gorgeous in this getup I can't get over it! I think I have decided that blue is totally her color, she should wear it all the time. The cocktail dress is divine, so sexy yet sophisticated. The heels! Hello - the heels! Paired with a perfect abstract clutch, perfect makeup and a lovely up-do one of my favorite red carpet looks this month.

Everyday-chic, the lovely Sarah Michelle Gellar wearing what I tend to wear daily. A dress, a jacket, thighs and boots adding some large shades and perfectly blow-dried hair. Win!

Those are my top ten but I HAVE to give a shout out to my very favorite hair of the month. This goes to Miss Parker Posey who just killed me with this fabulous hair paired with even more fabulous earrings!

Beautiful!

Which one is your favorite?

Editorial: InStyle Morena Baccarin

I received my copy of InStyle last night and I have to say it's my favorite for a while. Full of goodies and celebs I love. One of which is this stunning Brazilian beauty, Morena Baccarin. I have been a fan of Morena for a few years now, since I enjoyed her portrayal in 'Firefly' as the classy high-class prostitute, a great discovery by Joss Whedon. Yes, I'm a nerd too.

Granted the tribal prints being sported all over is just not my style but I had to give pointers to InStyle because Morena looks FANTASTIC in these. She, like Carey Mulligan, are my current favorite 'short haired' girls. I think she looks absolutely amazing with her cropped her, reminds me of Demi Moore circa. Ghost.

Like I said, the crazy tribal prints is so not me but on Morena? They absolutely rock! And I would like to point out to the Brian Atwood shoes she's wearing in the last photo. Too gorgeous for words.

How are you feeling about the tribal prints?

Golden Globes' Golden Ticket 2010

Yes, yes. I know most everyone has done their own redition of the best dressed rundown. Well I didn't want to be left out, did I? I have to admit I didn't watch it. I was so tired from cooking this meal I did yesterday that I went to sleep earlier than I should've of. The bf took over the TV and watched something with sports in it so I woke to find all the GG goodies.

Here is my list of my favorite 10 dressed.

Kate. Oh Kate. You can do no wrong, seriously. Perfect fit, perfect shape and always looking stunning.

My girl Emily looked ethreal, I just adore her look but I would've done something else with the hair, that's just me.

Heidi & Seal. Probably the only Hollywood couple I love and if they ever break up I will sit in a room with ice cream and cry for a week as I watch Project Runway over and over. Does this couple ever look bad? Seriously, she's just had like her 10th kid and look at them!

I saw a lot of people hated this dress but I absolutely loved it! It's bright and gorgeous and very diffetent and daring. I loved it, Diane.

Speaking of Marion. Seriously stunning, hair, make-up, shoes, dress, hint of a slip with lace. I loved it.

I saw a lot of critique about January's dress but I have to say that I LOVED it! The headband, the ice on the wrist, the entire look is fabulous. Can I take a moment to point out the killer red nails? RED NAILS, FTW!

Kristin wisely chose a short cocktail dress, she's so short as it is, a long gown would drown her. She looks young, fresh and super chic. I loved it.

Ginnifer's choice of a cocktail dress also wowed me, I thought she looked possitively beautiful. The color is great on her and the dress lenght is perfect. I also love my girls rocking the short hair.

Carey looked super perfect in this beautiful navy dress. It reminded me of that Oscar dress Marion wore in the Oscars she won; like a scale consistency. Either way I love it, loved also the second use of a head band.

When you're a big woman it is hard to find a dress that not only slims you but that it's not black AND it slims you. Mo'Nique found it and I thought she looked spectacular, one of the biggest (no pun intended, girl <3) most fabulous surprises of the night. Now, if my girl would just shave her legs we can all rest at ease.
